Building Stronger Connections: Invenergy Hosted Landowner Meetings for Cimarron Link
Recognizing the importance of landowner perspectives, Invenergy set out to connect with landowners along the Cimarron Link proposed route starting in 2022. Along with hundreds of one-on-one conversations that took place, another avenue the team used to connect was through landowner meetings in 2023. Invenergy used these meetings as an additional opportunity to connect with landowners in convenient, local venues. From August through October 2023, Invenergy hosted 10 landowner meetings, covering 11 counties with over 170 landowners in attendance. In open house style forums, members of the project team held conversations around project needs and benefits, answering broader questions around the project and Invenergy, and in addition provided maps for landowners to view and comment directly on route determining factors affecting their lands.
Invenergy is dedicated to community outreach and will continue engagement with landowners, the public, government, Sovereign Nations, and interested stakeholders throughout the life of the project.
Landowners meet in a public forum to discuss Cimarron Link with members of the Invenergy team.
