Donation to Junior Class will be utilized for prom expenses
Invenergy presented a $1,000 check to the Covington-Douglas junior class to underwrite a portion of the expenses associated with organizing the school’s junior prom.
After a water main break over the Christmas holiday flooded the school gymnasium, the school was forced to close the facility to repair the gym floor. The junior class typically utilizes concession stand proceeds from the gym as its main revenue source for prom. Without that fundraising source, students would not be have the financial means to organize the event.
